Ingredients
- Brussels sprouts
- Pork bacon
- Himalayan pink salt
- Ground cumin
Preparation
- Wash the Brussels sprouts and remove any damaged leaves.
- Trim the stem ends slightly.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil with Himalayan salt and a touch of cumin.
- Once the water is boiling, add the Brussels sprouts and boil for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Remove the sprouts from the hot water and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Cut each bacon strip in half and wrap each sprout with half a strip.
- Secure the bacon with a wooden toothpick.
- Place the wrapped sprouts on a baking tray and broil for about 5 to 6 minutes on each side, keeping an eye on them to prevent burning.
- Once the bacon is golden and crispy, remove the tray from the oven.
- Serve hot, either as a side dish or a main course.
- An alternative method is to grill them, also supervising the cooking time to avoid burning.
